What I've bought, saved, seen this month
February's edit of things I've bought, saved, seen: what’s worth adding to cart & what's not...
Fashion Faves:
I’ve worn, you’ve loved…
M&S Barrel Leg Jeans, £30: I can’t stop wearing these day and night. Go for petite and size down.
Zara Rain Jacket, £45.99: The hooded water-resistant jacket that looks super stylish. I wear large.
Bow Jumper, £30: Cute and playful. I’m wearing medium.
Silk Slip Jumper, £35: You all loved this for the way it looks super styled without any effort required.
Abercrombie High Rise Vintage Straight, £75: The perfect crop, the perfect shade and the perfect style. I’m a 10 and wear size 26.
WAT The Brand Structured Coat, £200: This coat is just the dream, it elevates every basic outfit & I can’t stop wearing it.
Demellier Bag: Ludicrously capatious, this bag is as stunning as it is practical. Laptop for work? Tick. Spare clothes and snacks at the weekend? Tick.
M&S Jersey Black Trousers, £19.99: these were in my reel earlier this week and you LOVED them. Super comfy, they’re jogger material but look chic and smart. A great one for the weekend wardrobe. Comes in five leg lengths and three colours. I wear 8 regular.
Lace Layering Top, £10: You all love this! An absolute dupe for my Free People top. I buy a medium.
Zara Ruffle Blouse, £27.99: It’s a little bit Heathcliff, a little bit Bridgerton and a little bit 00’s Chloe. I love to shoulder pads too. The quickest way to look chic - just add jeans, trousers and blazer.
Umming and Ahhing over:
We finished our house renovations eight months ago, and are slowly getting around to the finishing touches. I’m obsessed with scouring the high street for luxe looking home additions. I’m getting good at finding the good stuff on M&S Home, Next Home, Wayfair & Dunelm. Speaking of which, Dunelm’s side-sleeper pillows have changed.my.life. Genuinely. I used to wake with such bad neck pains, but not since I swapped to these. £20.
The Beauty Edit:
What I’m enjoying using, and I think you will like too…
Clarins Double Serum Foundation, £49: the kind of glow-giving finish that makes your skin look like it drinks green juice, does Pilates at dawn, and somehow never misses a facial; effortlessly luminous, quietly luxe, and impossibly chic. I wear shade L4C.
Champo Hair System: honestly cannot rave about this enough; I’ve been consistent with these products for a year and the results speak for themselves. SSILVER15 will get you 15% off the entire system.
GHD Curve Grand Curling Wand, £154: if you love a chunky wand like me, this is for you; unapologetic volume and beachy vibes with a kind of luxe polish.
St Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse, £23: the reason I fell out of love with fake tan was because I never had the time but this clever formula develops deeply in three hours. Obsessed.
Medik8 Cleansing Oil, £29: cannot tell you the amount of bottles I’ve gone through of this, you just can’t better it. Now 20% off everything on the Medik8 website. I’ve stocked up.
L’Oreal Glass Skin Collagen Mask £3: I usually these on planes where I’m sitting for hours, but I used it on a two hour journey back from Sheffield. Plump, bouncy skin while I’m doing admin and laundry? Yes, please.
The Perfect Lip Pencil: I have been transformed into a lip liner person and I have to tell you, it makes such a difference. Scribble this on, add a balm (I love Rhode Peptide Lip Tint in Ribbon) and I feel instantly polished and put together. The perfect finishing touch.
Dior Bronzing Stick: Dreamy, creamy, looks like a real tan. If you like their stick foundation, you’ll love this. I wear shade 2.
Places I’ve been, people I’ve seen…
…cooking with Hello Fresh & Alfie to celebrate the launch of their Family Friendly recipes.
…celebrating Galentines with Rachel Stevens at Luca with Love & Roses.
…eating spicy vodka rigatoni at Carbone.
…wishing Beauty Pie a happy 10th birthday.
…attending the re-launch of Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Available in 60 shades, I am shade Tawny.
…playing padel OUTSIDE, finally (!) with my new Pounce Padel racket; not just pretty, she’s also 100% carbon.
…getting my nails done at at BioSculpture’s chic salon in Selfridges (shade: Blossom)
…working on on my new Flexera Pilates bed, the Peloton of reformer pilates, you can buy or rent a bed for £39 a week and then have access to online reformer pilates classes. Use code SAMANTHASILVER for a discount at checkout.
…spending too much on Sushi Dog for my kids.
I’m watching, reading and listening to… DO THIS
Paradise Season 2, Disney+: I vividly remember Nick and I binging the first season of this while we were sleeping on the lounge floor mid-house reno. I couldn’t stop raving; sci-fi meets the Truman Show with Randall from This is Us, it shouldn’t work but it does. In season two, Xavier ventures beyond the bunker in search of his wife, discovering how people have survived the three years since the world ‘ended’. Harry Hook from Descendants is in it. IYKYK.
Begin Again: If you’re feeling a little bit rubbish about everything right now, you are not alone. Tuning in to a positive podcast could improve your mood while you’re out on a daily walk, cooking an indulgent dinner or simply sitting on your sofa. Davina McCall’s podcast is dedicated to empowering people to embrace midlife as their most transformative era yet through guests stories that have challenged outdated narratives and ideas.
Diary of a Beauty Editor by Sarah Jossel: Ok, so I’m not reading this yet but I have pre-ordered it, does that count? My OG beauty industry pal (we started out as assistants in our 20’s) and This Morning’s TV Beauty Expert has been writing this beauty bible for the last five years, so you can bet your lip balm that’s it worth every penny. Out in May.
The hacks that have saved me…
I’m trying to get a handle on my phone storage situation, so I’ve started deleting photos day by day, working back through each year while I’m sitting in the car waiting for my kids. Try it.
Add to your Ocado…
My obsession for the M&S Mango & Passionfruit Collagen Balls knows no bounds. At this point I have talked about them so much and converted so many people I should have shares. The perfect snack.
